how this started
Sympathy cards lie.
We stood in a drugstore aisle looking for something to send a friend whose mom had just died. She had not been a nice person. Every option in the rack had a watercolor sunset outside, and generic, cliche “thoughts” inside. While it was slightly sad that she had passed, nothing said what we actually wanted to say, which was: This is terrible, I love you. At least the overbearing bitch is dead.
So we built a website, bought a new fancy schmancy stylus, and Trashmouth Cards has been embarrassing mail carriers ever since. Our cards aren’t for everybody, but laughter does make the tough stuff slightly easier to bear. So we try to do our part, trashy as it may be.

Four guidelines. We don’t obey rules. taped to the wall, because we are trash, and refuse to spring for a professional display.
1
If it looks unprofessional, it is. We are just hooligans, who bought a stylus, have a decent vocabulary, and clever wit.
3
Every design is (badly) drawn by hand. The front sets it up, the inside knocks it down. Never both on the same side.
2
White stock, black ink, no exceptions. Color is a crutch. We are proudly unsupported.
4
Mean about the situation. Never mean about the person receiving it. Eh, who are we kidding?

Small minds, big mouths…
Narrating all of life’s train wrecks. If we get tired of something, we usually draw something worse to replace it. Wholesale inquiries, complaints, and “please make one about my ex” requests all go to the same inbox (which may or may not get opened).
